CatWire is a small, privately owned company that creates and sells original cat breed, feline, rescue, and cat lover designs on quality apparel and gift items through the Internet. It is our goal to deliver fun and creative products that celebrate each unique cat lover's interests and personalities.
The Animal-Lover Herself
Owner, shopkeeper, graphic designer, web developer...you name it, Shannon's probably behind it. Shannon Steffen is the dog-owned woman behind CatWire. Shannon currently resides in Wisconsin with her husband and two Chocolate Labrador Retrievers. She works full-time as a web developer and graphic designer for her own company and continues to do web design for non-profit organizations, as well as author freelance pet life, health, training, and behavior articles for online publications.
Shannon began graphic design and web development in 1995, while attending Hofstra University. Although it was then that she began to use the computer as her artistic medium, she had been in many art exhibit competitions for water color, abstract mediums, and pottery since the 3rd grade.
Although she had cats growing up, she does not currently own any cats due to her husband's allergies. However, her love of cats still lives on!
